| This is one of the great Porter Wagoner compositions and productions. He knew that Dolly's voice was the crucial center of any recording. After working with him she apparently rejected his production approach and went with lush production that hid her voice. Just compare the Porter produced version of "I will always love you" to any other version she recorded. Dolly's pure voice is so emotionally moving. |
